Chief conductor
MARCEL N. VERHOEFF was born in The Netherlands. He received his first piano lessons at the age of six from his father. Since 1993 he is chief conductor of the Don KosakenChor Russland.

The Don KosakenChor Russland was founded in 1992, after the then President Yeltsin gave permission to grant Cossack status as a corps. in 1999 the choir celebrated its first lustrum and was awarded “Army Choir of the Great Don Army” status. In 2000 and 2005, the choir performed in the White House in Moscow
instrumentalist
The Instrumental Soloists Ensemble ‘Philharmonia’ works closely together with the Don KosakenChor Russland and conductor Marcel N. Verhoeff. Almost all members of this ensemble have worked with conductor Marcel N. Verhoeff for over 30 year.
