About the Don KosakenChor Russland

The Don KosakenChor Russland was founded in 1992, after the then President Yeltsin gave permission to grant Cossack status as a corps. In 1999, the choir celebrated its first lustrum and was awarded the "Army Choir of the Great Don Army" status. The choir also twice received the honorable invitation to give a concert at the White House in Moscow for the Duma and Administration of the Russian President. These concerts made for a spectacular breakthrough in Europe with mostly sold-out venues. Many European television channels reported on this special performance, including NOS-Journaal, RTL-Deutschland and RTL-Nederland. The choir has now made 19 CD recordings on various international labels such as, Koch-International; Universal Classics; Christophorus and Deutsche Grammophon. Recently the CD 'A Cossack Serenade' was released by the Austrian record label VSM.

The choir performed in the House of Music (Moscow); the White House (Moscow); The Royal Concertgebouw (Amsterdam); Palais de la musique et des congres (Strasbourg); Liederhalle (Stuttgart); Musikhalle & St. Michaeliskirche (Hamburg), Die Glocke (Bremen); Philharmonie Am Gasteig (Munich); Koninklijke Schouwburg (Bruges) and Aspendos Arena (Antalya), along with many others.
The tour "The Soul of Russia" took place from November 27 to December 24, 2019 in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in many theaters and other special places.
